"Is your church new?"
We hear that often. If the question refers to the age of the building, then yes, it's still relatively new. Dedicated in the Fall of 2006 with a beautiful sanctuary, large fellowship space, and multiple classrooms, our facility is a wonderful blessing from God that helps us share the gospel.
As for the age of the congregation itself, we're no longer "new". But we're still young. Established in 1997, Risen Savior becomes a teenager this year, turning thirteen. And we're enjoying a bit of a growth spurt. Worship attendance has doubled in the last three years, enabling us to expand into new ministries. Yet we're still small enough for one weekly Sunday service in which our church family gathers to worship our risen Savior.
Perhaps the question is directed to our name Lutheran. In that case we're anything but new. As a Lutheran church, we proclaim a 2000-year-old message: grace and forgiveness for all in Jesus Christ. As a biblical church, we give God's Word first place in our life and faith. As a Christian church, we gather to praise God, be strengthened by his Word, and reach out to those around us in Christian love.
Risen Savior Lutheran is a family of believers built on the rock solid foundation of God's word. Worship and God's Word are central to our faith and life. Come each Sunday morning at 10:00 for an uplifting and relevant mesage focused on what God’s word means in our lives.
